The Trans-American Trail

During the months of August through November 2015 I took timeout from life in the city, mounted my KTM 690 with the bare necessities and headed into the Trans-American Trail, a trail network that crosses the United States on dirt and gravel roads.

12,000 miles, 4 months. The Bible Belt, churches, camping, kindred spirits, gang members, new friends, rolling hills, bears, turtles, donkeys, wild horses, snowy peaks, amazing Utah and Arizona, Death Valley, countless bike naps, one significant crash, California, the Sierra mountains, one life threatening snow storm, crazy Texans on dirt bikes, the Pacific ocean.
